It Is Cheaper to Buy Home Theater Kits

Having a theater in your home is an appealing thought. However, the cost of buying a home theater system is prohibitive for many of us. Who has several thousand extra dollars to put into an entertainment system nowadays?

You may stop worrying about the cost of a home theater now. By investing in home theater kits, many homeowners are now finding the way to have the kind of home movie house that they want and at a much more reasonable cost.

These kits are sometimes referred to as an HTIB (home theater in a box). The contents of each boxed home theater vary so you can buy the combination that appeals to your family’s preferences. Usually, components of a home theater system in a box are ‘bundled’ and include a DVD player, a multi-channel amplifier, all of the wires and cables needed to install the components, a remote control and a speaker system of five or more surround-sound speakers. All you need to add is a TV and the labor needed to put everything together.

Most manufacturers of consumer electronics offer these kits. The prices range from around $100 to over $3000 per kit. The cheapest ones often contain a DVD player, a three-channel amplifier with the most basic features, a remote control, left and right speakers and a small subwoofer speaker. Those who want more components must be ready to pay a higher price although it is still much cheaper than the cost of a completely installed home theater.

The higher priced home theater kits can include such extras as wireless speakers, a five disk player, 1080 HD resolution and other extras that are not part of the cheaper kits.

For those who enjoy setting up electronic equipment, this type of home theater will provide an entertaining setup process as well as the financial benefits of lower costs.
