Poker Eyes: Watch for the Flop
The flop is the first indicator for where your pokernhand is going and how you need to play it. Let’s take a look at some examples.
For example, if the flop comes out Jack/Hearts-King/Spades-9/Spades, there’s a straight possibility out there, as well as a flush draw. Also, keep the faces in mind. Many poker en ligne players will play a pocket hand with a King or Jack, so there’s a good chance that someone flopped a high pair. With so many ways to win, this can be a pretty dangerous flop. If you don’t get a good piece of it, it’s time to lay down your cards.
When you’ve got a high pocket pair, like Kings, pray for a flop like Queen/Clubs-8/Spades-3/Diamonds. There’s no flush draw, no sign of a straight, and the odds are that no one played with a starting hand bad enough to get two pair on this flop. Those Kings are looking pretty right about now.
When the flop comes, keep an eye out for any poker hands that can be made. Look for connectors, two of the same suit, and see what pairs are out there. Being aware of what others may have is a good indicator of whether or not you need to keep playing your hand.
